Accountant

Job Function: Ensures the effective and efficient handling of accounting concerns in either of the following groups, payables, attest, credit, operations finance, and tax. Prepares various management reports, particularly financial statements.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree and a professional license in Accountancy.
  • Work experience in external audit, financial and general accounting is an advantage.

Area Sales Executive

Job Function: Carries out marketing and selling activities of company products in a specific area of assignment. Promotes and nurtures strong relationships with key customers.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering and any business-related course.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in sales, business development, and network expansion
  • Candidates should be willing to be assigned in provincial areas within the country and must know how to drive.

Chemist

Job Function:

  • Conducts tests of in-process materials, finished products, and other samples according to established work instructions.
  • Provides support to laboratory analysis in achieving materials/product testing plans including preparation of samples/reagents and routine calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree and a professional license in Chemistry.
  • Related work or internship experience is an advantage; the position is open to fresh graduates.

IT Auditor

Job Function:

  • Assist in planning and lead/perform controls assessment/evaluation of IT systems, applications, security and general controls (i.e., assess design and test operating effectiveness).
  • Help develop the IT assurance strategy aligned with the current and future risks.
  • Benchmark the IT risk management programs with other businesses and best practices.
  • Act as the go between Internal Audit and IT for matters such as information security, change management, access controls, etc.
  • Perform process or operations audits as needed and assist in ad hoc investigations and advisory risk and control services to operational management, as required.
  • Progress the data-based risk identification program, where possible and applicable.
  • Support the Internal Audit Managers and Head in other areas of promoting good governance and risk management within Petron (and the wider SMC Group, as needed).
  • Establish and promote consistent policies, processes and sharing of best practices.
  • Embody, endorse, and promote Petron core ethical and governance principles and policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a degree in Accounting/Accountancy, Internal Audit or Information Technology related courses.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) certifications required.
  • IT internal audit experience with relevant experience in but not limited to IT general and application controls, IT security and data protection, change management, logical and physical security, back up and disaster recovery, business continuity, and data analytics.
  • Good understanding of information security standards and best practices and comprehensive understanding of internal control environment within the IT function.
  • At least five (5) years IT auditing experience in the Big 4 or in a major local or international organization.
  • Proficient knowledge of internal auditing, IT internal controls and risk management, and working knowledge of finance and accounting practices and methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a matrix structure with various stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Strong relationship building skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong professional and ethical integrity.

IT Business Systems Architect

Job Function:

  • Responsible for information technology that enables the cards business applications of the Company (i.e., fleet care and e-fuel systems)
  • Handle techno-functional role with equal emphasis on understanding technical matters and functional aspects of the scope assigned
  • Responsible for the design, development, operations and maintenance for the fleet system, e-fuel system and other cards business systems
  • Understand the cards business offerings of Petron to the market and its relevance and contribution to Petron’s overall business
  • Understand stakeholders of the system (i.e., dealers, customers, Petron, government agencies)
  • Customer service and customer centricity mindset is a must
  • Serve as both a service provider and an advisor to the business
  • Recognize how to balance this with cost, value, governance, security and compliance considerations
  • Supervise and coordinate work with various vendor/s or staff augmentation resources

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related program
  • Must have 2-5 years of experience in similar role or field

Pricing Analyst

Job Function:

  • Manages pricing strategies, including discounts and subsidies, for Petron’s Trades business units and ensures accurate implementation in SAP according to approved guidelines.
  • Evaluates pricing proposals and recommends optimal pricing support to maximize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
  • Processes price adjustments through credit/debit notes and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing information.
  • Monitors cost components, analyzes industry pricing, and provides recommendations to optimize pricing strategies and identify opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in finance, economics, engineering, or business management.
  • Solid knowledge in finance, strong analytical ability, creative thinking, good oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, SAP, and data warehousing/mining systems and software.

Refinery / Depot Technician

Job Function: Ensures the safety and efficiency of equipment and facilities operations in processing crude oil into various petroleum products. Monitors the efficiency of product deliveries to be stored in Petron depots.

Job Requirements: Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical Engineering or any engineering course.

Job Function: Responsible for performing work pertaining to the technical aspects of the overall refinery process operations, operating data analysis of projects to improve the efficiency, safety of operations, and/or support additional requirements in terms of production, new product or enhanced product quality.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree / College degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Related work experience is an advantage.

Service Repair Technician

Job Function: Do repair and maintenance of service station equipment and facilities nationwide.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree.

Job Function: Assists in supervising and controlling the entire depot operations.

Job Requirements:

Trade Marketing Associate

Job Function:

  • Develops and proposes promotional activities, merchandising items, and implements activations for specific products to increase sales, margins, and brand recognition.
  • Collaborates with the sales team on special events, evaluates promotional proposals, and communicates and monitors the implementation of merchandising activities within their assigned area.
  • Ensures effective implementation of company events and marketing programs within budget and timelines, addressing any issues and proposing corrective actions.
  • Manages the deployment and monitoring of merchandising materials and trade assets, tracks competitor activities, and contributes to yearly business planning.

Job Requirements:

  • College Graduate of a 4-year course preferably in business, marketing, economics, communications or other related degrees.
